Sunday Fun

After hitting google to find a new walk for the 2 madams we headed out to try Drummuir.

Some gorgeous walks there we headed down by the old railway line (and got a glimpse of the old train that runs), a lovely shady woods helped keep the girls cool in the awful heat. Was lots of new things for them to see a pond full of ducks (Kayla was licking her lips) a couple of very brave sheep (Kayla did her best meercat impression at this point I really think she was pondering a lamb dinner) and lots of horses which the girls are not really used to seeing. Nice for mum she go a wee glimpse of the castle (not a great view as it was hidden by lots of trees). There was a lovely little ford for the girls to splash about in to cool down.

Sadly mum must have touched something nasty in the woods as by the end of the walk her hand was the size of an elephants hoof and the day had to be cut short for a trip to the hospital casualty department.

  3. Kayla here, I have decided that like all the other clever dogs out there I want to write my own blog. After all it is all about me (I might be kind and mention grumpy old Skye a little too).

Mum is fine Doctor thought it was an allergic reaction to something and gave her some tablets. Looks like it is back to normal size now, hope it doesn't stop her from taking us to that nice place again as I had my eye on a big fat duck for next time!

  5. Hi Kayla

Hope you're mum is recovering well. It looks really sore. Tell her to keep taking the tablets and I'm sure you'll be back on your lovely walks before you know it. My Mum has had to watch when she takes me out at them moment due to the heat.

  6. We think of horses as big dogs, but can't seem to get them to woo back at us. They make funny noises.

Hope your mom's hand is ok.
